PT Hydraulics is proud to announce that we were recently crowned Motion Industries Supplier of the Year 2008. Motion Industries is part of the Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety Group, which includes other large companies such as Blackwoods & Bakers. This prestigious award was presented at a Formal Event for the Wesfarmers Group, attended by 20 companies from around Australia, each nominated for the Supplier of the Year award. This success highlights the PT Culture of going the extra yard, and is shared by all PT employees, be they in Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Operations, Finance or any other facet of our business. We aim to enjoy even greater success with our distributors in 2009, and look forward to continuing to build our relationships & reputation within the industry.

Announcement | Updated May, 2008.

PT Hydraulics has recently been awarded sole distribution rights for the full range of Petrogen cuttings torches and accessories. This cutting system uses regular Petrol as it’s fuel, giving both incredible performance and cost savings, whilst also proving safer than alternative oxy-fuel systems (Acetylene, Propane etc.)

During April, Brian Heft, General Manager of Petrogen, flew out from the United States to train PT staff on the use of the system.  The training was a great success, covering both the theoretical side of the system and its advantages, as well as giving all attendees a number of days of practical experience using the system.

We now look forward to showing the system to all potential customers and discussing the advantages, so please do not hesitate to contact us for more information or to arrange a demonstration.

Announcement | Updated April, 2008.

In February & early March, Matt Lloyd, National Product Manager of High Force Tools & Equipment, visited SPX in Rockford, Illinois, for service training. The trip was highly successful and allowed Matt to further develop his product and service knowledge. Matt returned very excited about the new range of Predator Pumps & Torque Wrenches. During the later part of March, Operations Manager Dallas Jarred visited suppliers in Europe. He discussed new and innovative products, transport logistics, and maintained PT Hydraulics’ close relationships with our suppliers.

Also in March, the newly created positions of Assistant National Product Managers for Industrial Hydraulics & Rescue have been filled by Peter Jenkin & Greg Bellairs respectively. Peter, having previously held the position of Customer Service for High Force Tools & Equipment, looks forward to the challenges that face him in his new role. Greg comes to PT with 3 years of experience from the automotive industry. Peter’s new job function makes way for Josh Bowman to fill the Customer Service position in High Force Tools & Equipment. Josh comes to us from the Department of Sustainability & Environment (DSE).

PT Rescue is proud to announce that we recently received 3rd place in Lukas’ worldwide distributor rankings, having been beaten only by England & France.

Our service & assembly capabilities continue to grow with the addition of 4 Automated Assembly Benches & 2 service benches in our Melbourne Head Office.
